Melissa Maddern is a Folsom/Sacramento-based sound practitioner, meditation guide, and yoga teacher creating restorative wellness experiences for individuals, private groups, workplaces, and organizations.
Her work blends gentle guided meditation, breath awareness, and therapeutic sound to help people slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with a deeper sense of calm.
Known for her warm, grounded presence and thoughtfully curated sound bath experiences, Melissa creates spaces that feel welcoming, peaceful, and deeply restorative — whether she is guiding a private group, a corporate wellness session, a community sound bath, or a retreat experience.
Melissa is an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and YACEP yoga teacher with advanced training in vinyasa, yin yoga, meditation, and sound healing. She has completed sound healing training in crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, chimes, gong, and other therapeutic instruments.
Her experience includes public sound baths, private group experiences, workplace wellness events, recovery and treatment center sessions, residential community programming, yoga studio offerings, and retreats.
Melissa’s approach is calm, intuitive, and accessible. Her sessions are not performance-based and do not require any prior meditation, yoga, or sound bath experience. Participants are invited to simply arrive, soften, and receive.
Her intention is to create experiences that feel beautiful, safe, and easeful — a pause from the pace of everyday life and a return to the body’s natural capacity for rest.
